Day 3

Today we took the tube to Tower of London! It is more like a castle than a tower, and it was absolutely beautiful. We spent 3 hours walking inside of the different exhibits and buildings and we saw things like royal armory, crowns, swords, and jewels and we learned a lot about the history of England from the information plaques. Throughout the Tower, there were ravens scattered, which we learned had their wings clipped as a superstition. There is a legend that if the ravens left the Tower, it would fall.

From the entrance of the Tower we were able to see the London bridge. It is amazing to view, and it has an extensive history. It almost looks too good to drive on. The detail in the bridge is indescribable, but the colors are vibrant and the architecture is incredible. We were excited that Julien was able to be in the pictures today, since we missed him yesterday because of a foot injury.

Throughout our visit to the tower, there were informal plays acted out by actors dressed up as people did hundreds of years ago. Even when they are not acting in a scene, they stay in character. On our way out of the Tower, we spoke to a prisoner named "Sir Thomas." The acting was great, but they must have been hot in their outfits.
